Wood Furniture
 

Lifetime warranty against manufacturer’s construction and workmanship.
 

The beauty of solid wood furniture is the natural characteristics and variations in wood grain and/or colour.  Expansion and contraction can occur as the humidity level changes and the natural colour can shift over time.  These are normal characteristics of solid wood furniture and are not considered defects.
 

1-year warranty:  fabric, leather, hardware, and non-furniture related components including, but not limited to:  cabinet lighting, power bars, TV lifts, and electronics.
 

Items not covered under warranty:
 

• Normal wear and tear

• Misuse/abuse, transportation or delivery damage (excluding damage sustained during delivery by Fine Oak Things), improper storage or any condition resulting from improper maintenance, cleaning or care

• Scratches, dings or dents caused by dropping or sliding rough or heavy objects across surfaces; not using protection under hot or cold objects; leaving liquids on surfaces for extended periods.  We use the best, most durable finishes, but they are not impenetrable.

• Excessive shrinking, cracking, planking or warping resulting from the lack of or too much humidity in the home (needs to be maintained between 35% and 55% relative humidity)

• Damage to surfaces from the use of products that contain waxes, silicone or harmful chemicals

• Fading caused by prolonged, direct exposure to sunlight

• Defects that occur with fabrics and leather that have been subjected to chemical treatments or protective coatings.  Tears, pilling, fading, shrinking or flattening of the nap

• Any unauthorized repairs or alterations
   

All warranty coverage must be arranged through Fine Oak Things.  Warranty work will be arranged by and performed at Fine Oak Things approved facility at reasonable and customary labour rates.
 

Warranty is limited to the repair of the product and/or replacement of parts.  In the event exact replacement parts are no longer available, Fine Oak Things reserves the right to substitute parts of equal value.
 

During the first year, Fine Oak Things will cover reasonable costs to transport goods to and from the repair facility.  After the first year, the cost will be the consumer’s responsibility.
 

Due to the custom nature of our products, it is the consumer’s responsibility to ensure products are ordered correctly.  Unless otherwise specified, all measurements will be the standard measurements as listed on the Fine Oak Things web site and/or builder’s catalog.

 

Patio Furniture
 

Recycled Patio furniture comes with a limited lifetime warranty covering any defective product or part.
 

Items not covered under warranty:
 

• Normal wear and tear

• Misuse/abuse, transportation or delivery damage (excluding damage sustained during delivery by Fine Oak Things), improper storage or any condition resulting from improper maintenance, cleaning or care
